The Hamburg Ratsmusik is an ensemble with a history of over 500 years. Its beginnings lie hidden in 16th century, in the 17th and 18th century it flourished under leading musicians such as William Brade, Johann Schop, Georg Ph. Telemann and C.P.E Bach.
Meanwhile the ensemble, revived in 1991 by viola player Sabine Eckert, tours all over the world. 30 CDs with unique first recordings of old music document the rediscovered music of the renaissance, baroque and classic. In 2006 and 2010 the ensemble was awarded the “ECHO Klassik Prize” of the Oscar and Vera Ritter foundation Hamburg. Highlight of the ensemble is the Chilean Italian soprano Catalina Bertucci. Due to her experience with big oratorios, operas and old music Catalina Bertucci suits the implementation of the “Rose” topic that shall find its way to your heart, like no other.
